About Hospital

The Women and Children Hospital was established in 1903 by Sri.Raja Sir Ramaswamy Mudaliar in memory of Majesty Queen Victoria. Even the hospital formally opened in 1903; the land acquisition for it dates back to 1900-01. A 1901 document mentions the governor-in-council declaration that the land “is needed for a public purpose – the construction of Raja Sir Ramaswamy Mudaliar’s Women and Children Hospital”,The Women and Children Hospital was handed over to the Government on 22nd September 1903.

Today,The Women and Children Hospital is situated in an area of 3 acres and 12 cents in the Heart of Calicut City and continues its quality services along with all modern treatment facilities.
